By Jamie May Photography: It has been a harsh December in Grand Rapids, but it made for some beautiful winter wedding pictures. I am so happy for my cousin Jerad, who got married to a beautiful bride, Amy! Growing up, Jerad was like a brother to me, so when they asked me to photograph their wedding I was thrilled. When I photograph a wedding, I get to spend the whole day and night with the bride and groom, so this was one of the reasons I was so excited. We started downtown Grand Rapids at the Courtyard Hotel. I have been there before for a wedding and love it there. They have beautiful rooms to photograph in. Then we headed over to the church. I was very happy that Jerad and Amy decided to do a first look. Especially this time of the year with the sun setting so early. Amy had lots of wonderful ideas and input. I am so glad she was so excited about pictures and made time for them. Their ceremony was beautiful. We headed out in a limo to Rosa Parks in Grand Rapids and took some pictures and then headed to the reception. Their limo was filled with laughter and fun. All of their friends were very welcoming and cooperative. They all danced the night away with Jerad showing off some of his awesome dance moves, which was the highlight of my night. He has really mastered dancing to Michael Jackson songs, all of those practicing session at my house when we were young. 🙂 Wishing you many years of happiness and love, and little Jerad and Amys running around. I may be crossing the line now….
